Be an Angel

Hey Everyone,
My name is Yaniris and I have an uncle named David in the Dominican Republic who suffered a massive stroke to his brain. Luckily he survived it and for that we are all greatly thankful. He showed enough improvement to leave the hospital. Unfortunately, the stroke has left him unable to talk, walk, or even move his arms. He is bedridden, physically incapable of doing anything. He couldn’t go back to his home because it is too far from the hospital so, David and his family are staying with an aunt. There are 5+ people living in a one bedroom house, all taking turns to care for him. This man is like a brother to my father. They grew up together and even when my dad left his country years ago, remained extremely close. Each night my dad calls the Dominican Republic to speak to David even though David can’t respond. Next month my parents are going to visit David for the first time since he had the stroke. It just so happens that we are very tight on money so only my parents can afford to go. I started this charity called ‘Davids Angels’ to raise money for the essentials David needs that he can’t afford. The money that is raised is going towards things like food, water, bed sheets, pajamas, a fan, medicine, medical bills etc… Since he is not able to work and bring in the little money he made, money is tighter than it ever was. David had the biggest heart, I remember him always laughing and putting others before himself.  If you could find it in your hearts to donate to this fund it would be hugely appreciated. Every dollar would be more than what we had so if it’s only a dollar you could spare that dollar will most certainly go a long way! Thank you in advance for any donations and taking the time out of your day to read this.
